Group Tour of Your Hostess's Weaving Cellar

Two large handlooms stand in the weaving cellar of this nearly 300-year-old weaver's house in Bühler. Just as in the other 236 weaving workshops that existed throughout the village, weaving was carried out here during the 18th and 19th centuries. Today, the weaver's shuttle once again flies busily back and forth. The result is a range of items—hand towels, tea towels, table linens, and scarves made of linen or cotton, as well as sturdy shopping bags crafted from Finnish paper yarn.
