The B&B is in an elevated position in the wonderful canton of Valais, in the famous saffron-producing village of Mund. Very close by is the Blatten-Belalp area – true mountain heaven which offers you numerous active opportunities to explore your Alpine environment. Take your pick from hiking paths, routes that take you along the old Suone aqueducts through the Massa gorge, climbing routes, and exciting bike tours. From Blatten-Belalp you also have an unobstructed view of the Aletsch Glacier, the longest ice flow in the Alps.
Back in Mund, you can take the educational Saffron Nature Trail – a circular path that tells you all about the history of this precious spice, how it is grown, and how it is used as a culinary ingredient.
