Sleepy stone-built houses (Rustici), constructed in the same way for centuries, are mainly a feature of the Ticino and Graubünden. Meanwhile, mountain huts (Maiensässe) can also be found in the Valais and at higher altitudes in other areas of Switzerland.

There is a whole range of options, from simple to luxurious. Decide for yourself how rustic – or high-end – you want your accommodation to be. If you're traveling as a family, ask about child beds or cribs. They might not be listed, but still available on site.

Wood-Fired Hot Tub (Adults Only)

Price: CHF 17 per person. Duration: 60 minutes. Two bathrobes and pairs of slippers are available. Showering is mandatory before bathing. Our winter offer: snowshoe rental and hot tub CHF 40 per person. The hot tub takes three hours to heat up. A time can be arranged with Bernard and Danièle, subject to availability.

Sleeping in Straw

Sleeping in straw is a unique experience. You lie on a soft layer of straw in one of the two cosy straw rooms, each with 10 beds. The straw room can also be used alone with a smaller number of people. The beautiful outdoor area with its playground and trampoline, well-kept toilets, and a shower are at your disposal.

Have you ever wanted to go to Mongolia and did not find the time or the opportunity? An overnight stay in the yurt takes you to a special world. Soak up the colorful atmosphere. Experience a Model Railway

Experience a fantastic hobby with a passionate model railroader. Paul Stadtmüller will be happy to show you his greatest passion. You will learn to build parts of the model railway yourself. Later you will be allowed to manoeuvre the train, possibly even using a model railroad part that you made yourself. This course is free of charge.

Guided Tour through the World of Macardo

I have been reprocessing the wool from our sheep for three years. It is washed, dyed, carded, spun, and then woven into carpets. I would be happy to show you around my studio. The carpets are made to order in the sizes and colours customers want.
