Unique around the world
Unique around the world, Switzerland has an incredibly dense network of long-distance routes for hiking, cycling, mountain biking, inline skating, canoeing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and sledging. Whether national routes or local paths, they are uniformly signposted throughout.
Users can take inspiration from suggested routes, but the service offers much more besides. One function is a simple, practical search for accommodation options on and alongside the various trails. That's why many accommodation providers have become SwitzerlandMobility members and advertise their properties additionally on its platform. This not only generates more bookings, because their accommodation is visible to anyone planning a few days away, but also raises their profile and popularity among the Swiss population, especially.
What we learned from the webinar
BnB Switzerland and SwitzerlandMobility have been partners since 2008, but this was the first get-together with our members of its kind. The webinar was open not only to existing SwitzerlandMobility members keen to learn more about past and current projects, but also to accommodation providers interested in membership and wishing to find out more about the platform.
The first Zoom webinar therefore covered the following points:
- What does the SwitzerlandMobility Foundation do, and what is its strategy?
- What added value does SwitzerlandMobility membership offer you?
- How do BnB Switzerland and SwitzerlandMobility work together?
- What is planned for the near future?
- How does the registration process work?
Whenever they join, members of BnB Switzerland profit from a 10% discount on SwitzerlandMobility membership, but webinar participants were given an additional special reduction. Profiles on schweizmobil.ch are linked with those on bnb.ch, giving guests further information on the accommodation without host families having to set up their own website.
The webinar concluded with a Q&A session on the partnership and BnB Switzerland, as well as the registration process, to offer attendees an insight into the many advantages of SwitzerlandMobility.
All in all we are delighted that our first webinar was so successful, with plenty of lively discussion, many interesting questions, and exciting information about SwitzerlandMobility. We are already welcoming registrations for upcoming events in this format.
