A cycling tour is a wonderful opportunity for children to explore nature and to make memories that will last a lifetime. Good planning helps to make your trip a stress-free experience that the whole family can enjoy. BnB Switzerland highlights charmingly unique accommodation options on fabulous cycling routes in Switzerland.

Are you familiar with the Emmental? Its 170 valleys and rolling hills make it a cyclist's heaven. You'll ride along unpaved paths along the Emme river from Trubschachen to Burgdorf (route 24), discover the region's typical imposing farmhouses with their huge, hipped roofs, and marvel at the carpentry of covered wooden bridges. You don't have to be particularly fit to handle the 29 km route. Maximizing the fun factor is what counts. Other highlights along the route include the Kambly Swiss cookie factory in Trubschachen, where the air is filled with the scent of baking, and the impressive castle that sits high above the small town of Burgdorf.

Outstanding hospitality

The entire cycling route is dotted with unique B&B options offering the perfect place to stay. They have all you need for a sociable evening playing games and talking the hours away.

And if you've been caught in a downpour or got a little grubby, many of our hosts offer drying rooms or a laundry service (for a small fee).

In many cases additional beds will be available on request. Get in touch as soon as you can to give your host family time to plan and prepare, especially if you have children with you.

One more thing: It's worth downloading the new BnB Switzerland app so you'll have all the options at your fingertips, no matter where you are. That way, you can contact your host from anywhere to let them know that you're running late, or to book an extra overnight stop if your plans change.
